Men's Tennis Falls to Wilkes, 6-3

SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team (4-11, 2-5 Landmark) dropped a 6-3 decision to the Wilkes Colonels (5-5, 3-3 Landmark) in Landmark Conference action on Tuesday at the Royal Courts in Scranton.

Wilkes led 2-1 after doubles play despite an 8-1 victory from the duo of freshman Isaiah Dore (Plainfield, N.J./Plainfield Academy for the Arts & Advanced Studies)/sophomore Nathan Harrison (Pennsville, N.J./Pennsville Memorial) at the third doubles flight.

In singles play, freshman Maxwell Dombrowski (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) notched a 6-4, 6-3 win over Angelo Guzman at the first flight and classmate Lucas Kotcho (Jermyn, Pa./Valley View) rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Connor Frey at the fourth flight.

Dore dropped a three-set heartbreaker (3-6, 6-1, 6-7) at No. 2 singles.

The Royals return to action on Wednesday, Apr. 24 at Lycoming with first serve slated for 3:30 p.m.
