DALLAS, PA -- The University of Scranton men's golf team earned a local tri-match win over Wilkes & King's on Sunday afternoon at Huntsville Golf Club.
The Royals finished with a team score of 300, Wilkes took second at 334 and King's placed third at 359.
Sophomore
Jack Novis (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) fired off an even par round of 72 to lead the way for Scranton and earn medalist honors. Fellow sophomore
Jake Guenther (Sea Isle City, N.J. / IMG Academy) finished one stroke behind Novis at 73 (+1).
Junior
Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) carded a 76 (+4) while sophomore
Gehrig Shannon (Bernardsville, N.J. / Saint Peter's Prep) posted a 79 (+7). Junior
Liam Burtis (Binghamton, N.Y. / Seton Catholic Central) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with an 80 (+8).
The men's golf team returns to action on Wednesday for a tri-match against King's and Misericordia at Wyoming Valley Country Club.
