MADISON, NJ -- The University of Scranton men's tennis team was defeated 8-1 in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Drew University.
With the loss, the Royals fall to 2-6 on the spring season and 1-3 in conference play.
Scranton dropped all three doubles matches to the Rangers.Â
Freshman
Lucas Kotcho (Jermyn, Pa. / Valley View) picked up the only win of the day for the Royals at No. 4 singles as he won his match over Josh Thomas of Drew 6-4, 6-4. Fellow freshman
Isaiah Dore (Plainfield, N.J. Plainfield / Academy for the Arts & Advanced Studies) took a set off of Daryl Wong at No. 2 singles, but ultimately lost his match 6-0, 3-6, 4-6.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday against Elizabethtown at Birchwood Racquet Club at 3:00 PM.Â
