Junior outfielder Conor Campbell (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum)Â and graduate student left-hander Matt Roda (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) of The University of Scranton baseball team have been named to the D3Baseball.com Summer Honor Roll as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Campbell played in 44 games for the Brockton Rox in the Futures League where he hit .328 with four doubles, a triple, home run, 17 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 25 runs scored. The Wilmington, Del., native ranked fourth in the league in batting average and fifth in stolen bases.
For Roda, the Newtown, Pa., native posted a 2-2 record with one save and a 1.41 ERA in seven appearances (three starts) for the South Jersey Surf of the South Jersey Shore Baseball League. He struck out 39 batters in 29 2/3 IP and held opponents to a .190 batting average.
