HUNTINGDON, PA -- The University of Scranton men's basketball team earned a 55-54 win over Juniata College in Landmark Conference action at Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Freshman Sammy Tornabene converted an and-one to open up the scoring on the day for the Royals.
- Senior Cameron Khoza drilled a three at the 11:38 mark in the first half to put Scranton up 12-6.
- The Royals took a 12 point lead (21-9) with just over six points remaining in the first half as junior Jon Spatola connected from deep.
- Juniata went on a 15-2 run late in the first half to take a 25-24 lead with just over a minute remaining.
- Both sides exchanged buckets in the final minute of the opening half and the Eagles led 26-25 headed into the break.
- Tornabene scored the first points of the second half to help Scranton regain the lead.
- The Eagles responded with a 7-0 run to take their biggest lead of the game, 33-27.
- At the 10:03 mark of the second half, Spatola hit a pair of free throws to tie the game up at 39-39.
- Following a three from Juniata, senior Will McLoughlin hit a jumper to tie the game up at 50-50 with 4:24 remaining.
- The two teams exchanged buckets late in the game until McLoughlin capped off the scoring with a layup off a feed from Spatola at the 1:38 mark.
- Both sides had turnovers in the final minute of play and Juniata had a late chance to win the game, but the Royals held on to win 55-54.
