SCRANTON, PA -- The University of Scranton men's basketball team defeated Elizabethtown College 62-51 in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday night at the John Long Center.

How it Happened
- Senior Cameron Khoza drained a catch-and-shoot three in the right corner off a feed from junior Jon Spatola to give the Royals a 5-2 lead early in the first half.
- Graduate student Tahaj Parland scored a long two from the top of the key, then found freshman Will Marion in the left corner who connected from three as the Royals continued their 14-0 run.
- Freshman Sammy Tornabene scored back-to-back buckets, putting the Royals ahead 14-2 with 12 minutes left in the half.
- The Blue Jays scored five straight, but Khoza drained another corner three and Tornabene blocked an ETown layup attempt to regain momentum with nine minutes remaining.
- Tornabene banked in a jump shot to increase Scranton's lead to ten points with five minutes left to play in the half.
- Khoza connected from three-point range in the left corner off a pass from Parland as the Royals went to the locker room with a 32-26 lead at the half.
- Trapped in the right corner, senior Will McLoughlin found Marion wide open on the left block for the Royals' first points of the half.
- Elizabethtown got within one, until senior Colin Merriman scored a layup at the front of the basket to restore the lead to 36-33 with 15 minutes remaining.
- Down two with just under 11 minutes left, senior Mason Thompson drained a three-pointer from the right wing to put Scranton ahead 43-42.
- Marion scored a put back layup to give the Royals a three-point lead with five minutes remaining.
- McLoughlin finished a driving layup, then drew a charge on the opposite end of the floor as the Royals took a 56-51 lead with 2:38 to play.
- The Royals iced the game at the free-throw line and held on to win 62-51.

- McLoughlin recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
- Marion added 10 points, five boards and five assists.
- Thompson scored 10 and Khoza added nine.Â
