SCRANTON, Pa. – University of Scranton junior setter Cammi Quirk has been named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office.
This marks the second Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for Quirk this season.
Quirk helped lead the Royals to a 2-1 week, which included sweeps over Susquehanna and Elizabethtown. Across the three matches, she totaled 111 assists (12.33 per set), 33 digs, and six service aces, while continuing to direct a balanced Scranton offense.
She opened the weekend with 38 assists, 13 digs, and three aces in a 3-0 win over Susquehanna on Friday. Quirk followed that with 45 assists, nine digs, and an ace in Saturday's sweep of Elizabethtown, then closed the weekend with 28 assists, 11 digs, and two aces against nationally-ranked Virginia Wesleyan.
On the season, Quirk leads the Landmark Conference and ranks fifth in the country with 977 assists, averaging 10.07 per set, and continues to be one of the top setters in the nation.
The Royals (17-9, 6-1 Landmark) return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 29, when they travel to face Ithaca College at 6 p.m.
