SCRANTON, PA -- The University of Scranton field hockey team earned its third straight conference victory with a commanding 4-0 win over Lycoming College Wednesday night at Weiss Field.

How it Happened
- After a scoreless first half, the Royals took control in the third quarter, scoring three times in under five minutes to break the game open.
- Scranton opened the scoring at the 35:57 mark when Shana Goldsmith collected a rebound and scored off a saved shot from Emily Gallagher to put the Royals ahead 1-0.
- Just under four minutes later, the Royals doubled their lead when Olivia Burdo finished a well-placed pass from Annie Shaw to make it 2-0.
- Less than 90 seconds later, Shaw added a goal of her own, this time assisted by Burdo, giving Scranton a 3-0 advantage.
- The Royals capped off the scoring early in the fourth quarter when Shaw notched her second goal of the day, converting a feed from Gracie Buchholz to make it 4-0.
- The Scranton defense was dominant throughout, allowing just one shot in the entire game, which came in the first quarter. Lycoming did not record a penalty corner until the final frame.
