SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton Department of Athletics is proud to announce the 2026 induction class for the Wall of Fame, honoring six former Royals whose extraordinary accomplishments, leadership, and competitive excellence left lasting impacts on their respective programs.

This year's class features Brendan Boken '16 (Men's Basketball), Lindsay Fluehr '15 (Women's Basketball), Emily Goss '15 (Women's Lacrosse), Jessica Pankey '15, G'16 (Field Hockey), Emily Walsh '16 (Women's Tennis), and Jo-Jo Cantafio '74 (Men's Basketball/Baseball).

The 2026 Athletics Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the John Long Center, where the class will be formally inducted in between the men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Elizabethtown College (1:00 & 3:30 p.m.).

The Wall of Fame was founded in 1970 to honor student-athletes, administrators and those in the community who have been instrumental in the overall development of the University's athletic program. This year's class brings the Wall's membership to 298.

Brendan Boken – Men's Basketball (2012–16)

One of the most decorated players in program history, Brendan Boken graduates into the Wall of Fame as Scranton's all-time leading scorer with 1,911 career points and a transformative figure in the Royals' national resurgence.

A dominant post presence, Boken earned D3hoops.com First Team All-America and NABC Third Team All-America honors in 2016, along with D3hoops.com Middle Atlantic Region Player of the Year, Landmark Conference Player of the Year, and three First Team All-Landmark selections.

He started 109 of 110 career games, averaging 17.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 0.9 steals, and ranks among Scranton's career leaders in field goal percentage (57.8), rebounds (837), blocks (150), and steals (98). Boken helped the Royals to an 85–25 record, two Landmark titles, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.

He received the O'Hara Award in 2016 as the University's top male athlete.

Lindsay Fluehr – Women's Basketball (2011–15)

One of the greatest point guards in Lady Royals' history, Lindsay Fluehr enters the Wall of Fame as both the program's and the Landmark Conference's all-time assists leader (544).

A three-time All-Landmark selection and a 2015 D3hoops.com All-Region honoree, Fluehr set the Landmark's single-game assist record (17 vs. Catholic) and the single-season mark for assists per game (6.1), ranking second nationally in total assists in 2014–15.

The only player in program history with 500 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists, she helped lead Scranton to an 85–27 record, the 2013–14 Landmark Championship, and three NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2014 Sweet 16. She was a three-time Athlete of the Week and a three-time Landmark Academic Honor Roll honoree.

Emily Goss – Women's Lacrosse (2012–15)

A prolific goal-scorer and four-time All-Landmark selection, Emily Goss enters the Wall of Fame after a standout career that included two IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region honors (2013, 2015).

Goss ranks fourth in program history in goals (173), eighth in points (188), and tied for 16th in draw controls (109). She earned CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition in both 2014 and 2015 and twice earned Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Her impact on both ends made her a cornerstone of the program throughout her four seasons.

Jessica Pankey '15, G'16 – Field Hockey (2012–15)

A dominant defensive force and four-year starter, Jessica Pankey enters the Wall of Fame as one of the most decorated defenders in Scranton field hockey history.

Pankey was a two-time NFHCA All-Region selection—including First Team honors in 2015—and the 2015 Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year. She is one of the rare athletes in conference history to earn First Team All-Landmark honors in all four seasons.

A mainstay on a defensive unit that recorded 29 shutouts, Pankey helped lead Scranton to four straight Landmark Tournament appearances, including the 2013 championship game. She finished her career with 13 goals, 11 assists, and six defensive saves, showcasing her versatility, poise, and two-way ability.

Emily Walsh – Women's Tennis (2012–16)

An elite competitor in both singles and doubles, Emily Walsh graduates into the Wall of Fame after becoming one of the most successful players in program history.

Walsh was the 2016 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar Athlete, a three-time First Team All-Landmark singles selection, a two-time First Team doubles honoree, and the 2013 Landmark Rookie of the Year. She was also the 2014 Landmark Tournament MVP.

Her 49 career singles wins are the second-most in school history, while her 44 doubles victories rank sixth. Walsh also delivered one of only three undefeated singles seasons in program history (13–0 in 2014). She earned the University's O'Hara Award in 2016 as the top female athlete in her class.

Jo-Jo Cantafio – Men's Basketball (1971–74), Baseball (1972–74)

A two-sport contributor and a foundational figure in Scranton athletics, Jo-Jo Cantafio is inducted for his impact on both the hardwood and the diamond.

A three-year basketball letterwinner, Cantafio finished his hoops career with 335 assists, ranking 15th in program history, and his 4.5 assists per game still stand tied for fifth all-time. He appeared in 74 games, contributing as one of the program's premier distributors of his era.

On the diamond, he was a team captain and four-year starter in centerfield with multiple seasons batting above .300.

In 1974, he was named the recipient of the O'Hara Award as the top athlete on campus and also became The University of Scranton's first NCAA postgraduate scholarship recipient, highlighting his excellence both academically and athletically.
