SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's swimming team turned in a strong all-around performance on Saturday afternoon, powering to a 185-76 victory over Misericordia University at the Byron Recreation Complex.
Scranton opened the meet by taking the top two spots in the 200-yard medley relay, with Ethan Kwon, Conor Doogan, Matt Sherry, and Owen Sherry leading the way in 1:37.15.
In distance events, senior Jimmy O'Malley set the tone with a win in the 1000 freestyle (10:20.26) before adding another victory in the 500 freestyle (4:59.81).

To close the meet, Matt Sherry, Tagliareni, Steven Detwiler, and Owen Sherry secured the 400 freestyle relay in 3:18.40.
With the win, the Royals improve to 3-2 on the season.
Next Up
The Royals now shift into invitational competition as the schedule moves into mid-November. Scranton will take part in the Marywood Diving Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 15 in Scranton. The following week, the team will split between two events, with select divers competing at the H2ounds Invitational hosted by Loyola University Maryland (Nov. 21-22), while the rest of the roster heads to Dallas, Pa., for the Cougar Splash Invitational hosted by Misericordia University (Nov. 21-23).
