SCRANTON, PA. - The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team dropped its eighth straight game as the Royals lost 14-6 to Trinity College (CONN) on Wednesday afternoon at Weiss Field in Scranton, Pa.
The Basics:
- Final Score: Trinity – 14, Scranton – 6

How it Happened:
- Trinity got the scoring started at the 12:04 mark in the first quarter to take an early 1-0 lead. The Bantams added another goal just 2:04 later and a third goal 1:15 after that to extend their lead to 3-0.
- Junior Pat McCormack got the Royals on the board with 6:21 to go in the first quarter, taking a pass from freshman David Dubas and scoring his first of the day to cut the deficit to 3-1.
- Scranton could not find the back of the net for the rest of the first. The Royals hit the goal post three times in the last six minutes of the quarter, and Trinity's Bo Page scored a last second goal as the quarter came to a close to extend the Bantams lead to 4-1.
- Trinity scored their fifth goal of the game 2:27 into the second quarter, but Scranton responded with 8:33 to go in the half when sophomore Myles McCutcheon connected with McCormack, who then scored his second goal of the game. The Bantams got one right back, however, retaking a four goal lead at 6-2 with just under six minutes left in the quarter.
- Junior Kyle Holmes cut the deficit to three goals with his first goal of the day with 11 seconds left in the half as Scranton went into halftime down 6-3.
- After Page scored his second of the game 3:46 seconds into the third quarter for Trinity, junior Jason Kozak scored an unassisted goal to get it right back for Scranton.
- Later in the third quarter, the teams traded goals again. First, Jay Ottomanelli scored Trinity's eighth goal of the day, but junior Quinn Carson answered for the Royals with an unassisted goal just 30 seconds later, making it an 8-5 game.
- Scranton got within two goals at the 12:59 mark when Dubas assisted sophomore Patrick D'Amaro, who scored his fourth goal of the season to cut the Bantams' lead down to 8-6.
- Trinity responded with six goals over the next 5:50, taking their largest lead of the game at 14-6. The Bantams limited the Royals to just sevens shots after the D'Amaro goal, holding on to win the game by eight.
