SCRANTON, PA. - The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team earned its seventh straight victory as the Royals defeated Elizabethtown College 14-4 on Saturday afternoon at Weiss Field in Scranton.
The Basics:

How it Happened:
- Elizabethtown got on the board with the first goal of the game at the 13:03 mark, taking a 1-0 advantage.
- Scranton responded with 7:50 left in the quarter when freshman David Dubas connected with junior Pat McCormack who found the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Royals took their first lead of the day at the 3:40 mark when junior Quinn Carson scored to make it 2-1 Scranton.
- Just 52 seconds later, after the Royals won the faceoff, Carson connected with sophomore Myles McCutcheon who bounced the shot in, extending the Scranton lead to 3-1.
- Sophomore Brendan Donohue added to the lead at the 12:58 mark of the second quarter, firing a shot on the run into the back of the net to give Scranton a 4-1 edge.
- With 11:02 left to go in the second period, junior Jason Kozak stepped into a shot and scored to put the Royals ahead by four.
- Just 45 seconds after the Kozak goal, junior Kyle Holmes fired a shot into the top left corner of the goal to make it 6-1. Then Donohue found Carson who scored his second of the game, extending the lead to six goals.
- Holmes continued to pour it on, scoring his second and third goals of the game 1:06 apart to give Scranton a 9-1 lead.
- Carson scored his third goal of the game 45 seconds after Holmes' third of the game, and then with 3:25 to go in the half, McCutcheon found McCormack who scored the 11th goal of the half to make it 11-1 Royals.
- Scranton picked up right where it left off, as sophomore Thomas Popolizio scored a goal 1:28 into the second half to extend the lead to 12-1.
- Elizabethtown scored its first goal at the 12:28 mark, ending Scranton's 12 goal run.
- After sophomore goalie Carsen Kirchner made his eighth save of the game, he quickly passed to senior Liam Sayre who took it the full length of the field and bounced the shot by ETown's goalie for his first goal of the season.
- Etown scored its third goal of the game with under two minutes to go in the third period.
- Holmes took a pass from Donohue and scored his fourth of the game to extend the lead to 14-3. ETown responded 58 seconds later to cut the Scranton lead back to 10 goals at 14-4.

- Holmes scored a team-high four goals and tallied four ground balls.
- Carson tallied four points on three goals and one assist.
- Kirchner made 11 saves in goal for Scranton.
