ELIZABETHTOWN, PA – The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team took down the Elizabethtown Blue Jays 16-3 on Saturday afternoon in Elizabethtown.

How it Happened
- Senior Grace Lane started the scoring for Scranton with a free-position goal at the 9:12 mark of the first quarter.
- Just 20 seconds later, graduate student Erin Reich found sophomore Eileen Hewitt who buried the shot through contact to make it 2-0 Scranton.
- Sophomore Jillian Lopez added to the lead when she found the back of the net, scoring Scranton's third goal of the game on a jump shot in traffic less than a minute after Hewitt scored.
- The Royals scored another goal, this time in transition, at the 6:04 mark to make it 4-0. First, freshman Grace DiDominica cleared for Scranton and found Lane who quickly dished to graduate student Erin Reich who scored her first of the game.
- Scranton scored again 51 seconds later when Lane passed to a cutting graduate student Devyn Tanajewski and she found the back of the net to extend the lead to 5-0.
- With 4:01 left in the first quarter, Reich scored her third goal of the afternoon, assisted again by Lane, to put Scranton ahead 6-0. Then Reich connected with Hewitt who scored her second of the game and put Scranton ahead by seven.
- Lane made it 8-0 with her second goal of the game on a free position shot just 28 seconds into the second quarter.
- At the 10:49 mark of the second period, Lopez bounced a shot past the ETown goalie for her second goal of the game.
- Junior Jessica McCabe joined the scoring barrage with 5:40 to go in the first half, wrapping around the crease and bouncing the shot in for the Royals' 10th goal of the game. Senior Molly McCarren scored her first goal of the afternoon with 2:10 left to go in the quarter, driving to goal from the top of the key and finding the back of the net, making it 11-0 Scranton.
- The Royals finished the quarter with their 12th goal of the half as Grace DiDominica connected with senior Catherine McGlynn who placed the shot into the top corner for her first goal of the contest.
- Reich opened the third quarter with a goal 58 seconds into the period, but ETown responded with its first goal of the game less than a minute later to cut the Royals' lead to 13-1.
- The Blue Jays added their second goal of the game at the 7:21 mark to make it 13-2 Scranton, and they scored again at the 13:15 mark of the fourth quarter.
- McCabe scored her second of the game at the 10:34 mark to give Scranton a 14-3 edge. Then senior Shannon DiDominica drove to the net and scored her first goal of the game to make it 15-3.
- With 5:54 left to go in the game, freshman Grace Hoeger scored on a free-position goal to make it 16-3 Scranton.
