WILKES BARRE, PA – The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team defeated Wilkes University 22-1 on Wednesday evening in Wilkes Barre.

How it Happened
- Senior Grace Lane, sophomore Jillian Lopez and graduate student Erin Reich each scored one goal apiece within a span of 23 seconds as the Royals jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead.
- Sophomore Eileen Hewitt scored a free position goal at the 11:41 mark in the first quarter, and Lane and Lopez each scored one more time to extend the advantage to 6-0 with 8:10 to play in the quarter.
- Hewitt and Lane scored goals separated by just 32 seconds to put Scranton ahead 8-0.
- Scranton scored four more goals to end the quarter with a 12-0 lead. First, freshmen Natalie Paul and Grace DiDominica scored their first goals of the game 25 seconds apart from each other, and junior Jessica McCabe and senior Molly McCarren also scored to put the Royals up by 12.
- Sophomore Becca Paterson scored a goal in the first minute of the second quarter, and junior Delaney Wozniak followed suit with her first goal of the game at the 11:35 mark in the second.
- McCabe scored her second of the game at the 8:26 mark to put Scranton ahead 15-0.
- Wilkes got on the board with its first goal of the game with 10 seconds left in the half.
- Freshman Grace Hoeger opened the scoring in the second half with a free position goal at the 12:31 mark and then Paul scored again to make it 17-1 Scranton with 10:23 to go in the third quarter.
- With 7:31 to go in the third period, freshman Amelia Price recorded her first goal of the contest on a free position shot, and junior Meghan Theofield scored her first goal of the season with 2:44 to go in the quarter to extend the lead to 19-1.
- Paterson scored her second goal of the evening at the 9:10 mark in the fourth quarter, and freshman Madeline Kaplan found the back of the net as well to put Scranton ahead by 20.
- Wozniak scored her second goal of the night and the 22nd of the game for the Royals at the 3:10 mark.

- Lane recorded four points on three goals and one assist.
