ITHACA, N.Y. -- The University of Scranton field hockey team battled for all 60 minutes, but ultimately fell to No. 22 Ithaca College, 1-0, Tuesday evening at Higgins Stadium.

How it Happened Â
- In what was a defensive battle, Scranton had their best scoring chance with less than a minute to play in the first quarter. The Royals took numerous shots on the cage, but one hit the post, two more were saved and another was blocked to keep the Royals off the board. Although Scranton earned a penalty corner after this sequence of shots, the Royals were unable to find the back of the cage.Â
- Scranton did not register a shot in the second half, and Ithaca broke the ice with the game-winning goal on its fifth corner attempt of the game with just 1:01 to play in the fourth quarter.
