The University of Scranton field hockey team rolled to its fifth straight victory, defeating Elizabethtown College, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon in Scranton, Pa.

How it Happened
- After neither team scored in the opening frame, Scranton broke through 2:52 into the second period, converting on a penalty corner. Maddie Slavin inserted the ball to Olivia Burdo on the left wing, and Burdo fired a shot into the cage to give the Royals a 1-0 lead.
- Late in the second quarter, the Royals earned a penalty stroke, and Kate McKillop capitalized by flicking a shot into the left corner of the cage to double Scranton's lead. The goal marked McKillop's first career score.
- Shana Goldsmith added a third Scranton goal early in the third period, intercepting a pass outside the circle before splitting two Elizabethtown defenders and firing a shot through the Blue Jays' goalkeeper's legs for her Landmark leading 11th goal of the season.
- With 7:33 remaining in the third quarter, Scranton converted another penalty corner. Slavin inserted the ball to Maggie Keys, whose shot was deflected into the cage by Julia Opperman to put the Royals ahead, 4-0.
- Five minutes later, Keys found the back of the cage for her first goal of the afternoon. She carried the ball from midfield into the circle and buried a reverse shot to extend Scranton's lead to five.
- Elizabethtown mounted a late push in the fourth quarter, recording five penalty corners and 13 shots. However, Ruby Sorber saved all six shots on goal to preserve the shutout and secure Scranton's 5-0 victory.
