The University of Scranton men's tennis team defeated cross-town rival Marywood, 6-1, Monday afternoon at the Royal Courts.
With the win, the Royals improve to 2-2 on the season.
Doubles
Singles
- Kotcho kicked off the match with a 6-0 first-set win, before his opponent retired, securing a victory at No.1 singles
- Clark also opened with a 6-0 win, then took the No. 2 match with a 6-2 second set.
- Harrison continued the Royals' dominance with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 spot.
- Blum's match at No. 4 went into a tiebreaker after the Sophomore won the first set 6-4, before falling in the second 2-6. Blum held on to win the tiebreaker, 10-5.
- Polomene defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
- Marywood captured its sole win of the day at No. 6 singles.
