The No. 2 seed University of Scranton's women's soccer team will host No. 6 seed Susquehanna University at Weiss Field on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:00 PM in the Landmark Conference Semifinals.
Scranton enters the semifinal matchup with a 9-1-7 overall record and a 5-0-4 mark in Landmark Conference play. The Royals will look to return to the Landmark Championship game for the 16th consecutive season as they pursue their seventh consecutive conference title and 13th overall.
Susquehanna comes into the contest at 10-5-4 overall and 3-3-3 in conference action after playing to a 1-1 draw against No. 3 seed Moravian before advancing with a 4-3 penalty kick victory in Saturday's first-round matchup. The River Hawks will look to advance to the championship game for the fifth time in program history and claim their second Landmark Conference title.
The Royals and River Hawks played to a 1-1 draw earlier this season at Weiss Field, with
Natalia Dobush scoring for Scranton and Amelia Kopp finding the back of net for Susquehanna. Scranton and Susquehanna have met five times previously in Landmark Conference postseason play, including twice in the semifinal round and three times in the championship game. Scranton holds a 4-1 record in those meetings, including a semifinal victory over the River Hawks last season. Susquehanna's lone postseason win came in the 2018 Landmark Championship, when the River Hawks defeated the Royals in penalty kicks to capture the program's first Landmark Conference title.
The winner of Wednesday's semifinal match will advance to the Landmark Championship on Saturday against the winner of No. 1 seed Catholic University and No. 4 seed Drew University.
