ITHACA, N.Y. – The University of Scranton men's track and field team posted several strong performances at the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by multiple top-10 finishes against a competitive field.
Brayden Clarke led the Royals in the distance events, placing seventh in the mile with a time of 4:30.71, while Angel Perez followed closely in eighth at 4:30.97. Clarke added another top-10 finish later in the meet, placing eighth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:05.46.
In the sprints, Shane Hermosísima earned a seventh-place finish in the 60 meters, clocking 7.07 seconds.
The 4x200 relay team of Luciano Fiorenza, Brian Hard, Matt Hirsch, and Freddie Kumi-Atiemo Jr. finished fourth with a time of 1:33.94.
The Royals will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Big Apple Invitational hosted at Ocean Breeze.
