SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's track and field team delivered a strong performance at the SU Invite on Saturday, Feb. 14, highlighted by a program record and a relay victory.
Scranton earned a second-place finish and set a new program record in the 4x200-meter relay, as Owen Pollock, Luciano Fiorenza, William Dickson, and Matthew Hirsch combined for a time of 1:33.34.
The Royals also claimed first place in the distance medley relay, with Daniel Lanahan, Brian Hard, Ethan Caprarola, and Brayden Clarke posting a winning time of 10:55.55.
Individually, Angel Perez turned in a fifth-place finish in the mile with a time of 4:33.48.
In the 400-meter dash, William Dickson placed fourth in 51.58 seconds, while Luciano Fiorenza finished sixth in 51.96 seconds.
Freddie Kumi-Atiemo Jr. added a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter dash, crossing the line in 7.20 seconds to round out the Royals' efforts on the track.
