Romanowski becomes the fifth Lady Royal to earn the honor, joining Kathleen Daly (2008), Meredith Mesaris (2015), Sarah Payonk (2017), and Bridgette Mann (2019).
The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport for their combined excellence in athletics and academics. Honorees must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee comprised of athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications staff, and diversity, equity and inclusion designees from across the conference.
Romanowski has established herself as one of the top players in the country this season, currently ranking fifth in the nation with 111 steals and third nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.81). Off the court, the Finance major has also excelled in the classroom, maintaining an impressive 3.97 cumulative grade point average.
During her career, Romanowski helped lead Scranton to three Landmark Conference Championships (2024, 2025, 2026). She was named First Team All-Conference this season, marking her third career All-Conference selection after earning First Team honors as a sophomore and Second Team recognition as a junior. Romanowski was also named Landmark Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 and 2026, helping anchor one of the nation's top defensive units as Scranton ranks first in the NCAA in scoring defense.
Romanowski's academic success has mirrored her performance on the court. She has been named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection twice (2024, 2025), highlighting her ability to balance high-level athletics with academic achievement.
A leader beyond the hardwood, Romanowski served as a team captain during the 2025–26 season and has been active in professional and leadership development through Future Business Leaders of America. In her role with FBLA, she managed internal communications to improve member engagement and event participation, while also helping organize fundraising initiatives, community service projects, and competitive preparation efforts that increased the chapter's visibility and success.
Her work with FBLA also produced competitive success, as Romanowski earned first place in Parliamentary Procedure at both the 2025 State Leadership Conference and the 2025 National Leadership Conference.
