SCRANTON, Pa. – University of Scranton senior Kaci Kranson has been named one of 11 national finalists for the prestigious Jostens Trophy, as announced by the Rotary Club of Salem.
The Jostens Trophy is one of the most distinguished honors in NCAA Division III basketball. Created by the Rotary Club of Salem and sponsored by Jostens, the award recognizes the most outstanding men's and women's basketball players in Division III. The honor is based on three criteria: basketball ability, academic achievement, and service to the community, reflecting the Rotary International motto of "Service Above Self."
Kranson has put together an outstanding senior season for The University of Scranton, earning 2025–26 Landmark Conference Player of the Year and First Team All Conference honors. She is averaging 18.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting .525 from the field this season.
One of the most accomplished players in program history, Kaci Kranson currently ranks second all time in career scoring at Scranton with 1,955 points.
The Rotary Club of Salem's Jostens Trophy Committee initially reviewed nominees from across the country before selecting 22 finalists, including 11 for the women's award, to advance to the national selection committee.
That committee, made up of athletics administrators, head coaches, past recipients, and members of the Division III media, will review the finalists and select the winners following the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship and NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
The 2026 season marks the 28th year the Jostens Trophy has been awarded, recognizing the best all around student athletes in Division III basketball.
