The University of Scranton men's tennis team fell 5-2 in Landmark Conference action at Goucher College on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Royals move to 7-8 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.
Doubles
- Goucher opened the match by winning two of three doubles contests to take the early point.
- Tadeo Asprella and Gabe Naftoly edged Ethan Borick and Max Dombrowski, 7-6, at No. 1 doubles.
- Harrison Clark and Lucas Kotcho earned Scranton's lone doubles win with a 7-6 victory at No. 2 over Lucas Lucena and Ian Hewes.
- George King and Guilherme Moraes closed doubles play with a 6-1 win over Benjamin Blum and Nathan Harrison at No. 3.
Singles
- Goucher secured the match in singles play, winning four of six matches.
- Max Dombrowski earned Scranton's first singles point with a 1-6, 6-1, 14-12 (TB)Â comeback win at No. 1 over Gabe Naftoly.
- Ethan Borick fell at No. 2, 6-1, 6-1, to Tadeo Asprella.
- Lucas Kotcho picked up Scranton's second point with a 1-6, 6-2, 10-7 (TB) win at No. 3 over Guilherme Moraes.
- Harrison Clark was defeated at No. 4, 6-3, 6-3, by Ian Hewes.
- Nathan Harrison dropped his match at No. 5, 6-0, 6-0, to George King.
- Benjamin Blum fell at No. 6, 6-0, 6-0, to Carlo Cermeno Cortes.
