Men's Track & Field Competes at Coach Pollard Invitational

The University of Scranton men's track and field team competed at the Coach Pollard Invitational, hosted by Moravian University, turning in solid performances in distance and field events highlighted by a program-record effort in the discus.

Program Records:

  • Ryan Kennedy won the discus throw with a program-record mark of 42.62 meters

Top Performances:

  • In the distance events, Angel Perez placed seventh in the 5,000m with a time of 15:49.15, while Brayden Clarke earned an eighth-place finish in the 1500m, crossing in 3:59.21.
  • Kennedy's winning throw in the discus stood out as the top field performance of the weekend for the Royals, marking a new program standard while securing first place in the event.
  • The Royals will return to action on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 at the Paul Kaiser Invitational, hosted by Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
