The University of Scranton men's tennis team saw its 2026 season come to a close on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Drew University, 4-0, in the opening round of the Landmark Conference Tournament at the Drew Tennis Complex in Madison, N.J.
The Royals finish the season with an 8-11 overall record, while the Rangers improve to 11-8 and advance to the Landmark Conference semifinals.
Drew claimed the opening point of the match after sweeping all three doubles contests. At No. 1 doubles, Max Dombrowski and Ethan Borick dropped a 6-2 decision to Daniel Arcari and Jesse Faro. Harrison Clark and Lucas Kotcho fell 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, while Benjamin Blum and Nathan Harrison were also defeated by a 6-3 score at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, the Rangers secured victories at the top two positions and No. 6 singles to clinch the match.
At No. 1 singles, Dombrowski was defeated by Faro, 6-2, 6-0, while Borick dropped a 6-4, 6-0 decision to Arcari at No. 2 singles. Blum fell to Pharell Longenbach, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 6 singles in the match-clinching point.
Three singles matches remained unfinished at the conclusion of the contest. Clark held a 6-1, 4-3 advantage at No. 4 singles, Harrison led 6-5 in the opening set at No. 5 singles, and Kotcho was battling in the second set at No. 3 singles after dropping the opening set.
