The University of Scranton softball team swept a double header against King's College, winning the first game of the day, 8-2, and taking game two, 5-2, on Monday evening at Magis Field.

Game One
- Win: Carly Noble (3-0); Loss: Alyssa Fox (6-6)
How it Happened
- After Carly Noble tossed a perfect first inning, Scranton erupted for eight runs in the bottom half of the frame. With runners on the corners and nobody out, Gianna Muliero lined a double to left center to drive in two runs. Juliana Janezic followed with an RBI triple and later scored on an Emmie Feltenberger double, her 100th career hit, to make it 4-0. Later in the inning, Hailey Poskonka singled in a run and Celia Totaro added a two-run triple to stretch the lead to 8-0.
- King's answered with two runs in the top of the fourth on a two-run single to trim the deficit to 8-2.
- Noble closed it out with a scoreless seventh, throwing a complete game in her first start of the season. She allowed two runs over seven innings to earn the win in game one for the Royals.
Game Two
How it Happened
- King's opened the scoring in the first inning, using an RBI single up the middle to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Royals answered in the bottom of the third, scoring twice to move in front 2-1. Celia Totaro crossed the plate on a wild pitch, and one batter later, Daniela Brescia brought home Gianna Muliero on a groundout to give Scranton the advantage.
- A fielding error with a runner on third allowed the tying run to score for King's in the top of the fourth, evening the game at 2-2.
- Scranton regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Madison Byrwa singled home Feltenberger to make it 3-2.
- In the sixth, Alexa Bruno led off with a pinch hit single and Mollie Ferreira followed with a sacrifice bunt. On the bunt, Bruno advanced to third and scored on a throwing error to push the lead to 4-2. A few batters later, Brescia added an insurance run with an sacrifice fly to extend the edge to 5-2.
- Emma Douglas closed out the doubleheader sweep with a scoreless top of the seventh, completing three shutout innings in relief.
