The University of Scranton women's lacrosse outlasted Moravian University, 14-8, on Wednesday evening at Weiss Field in Scranton, Pa.

How it Happened
- Moravian took an early 1-0 lead at the 9:45 mark when Kerry Seiler found the back of the net for the Greyhounds.
- Scranton answered with two straight goals to even the score and move in front. Eileen Hewitt tied the game with 8:47 remaining in the period, and 1:18 later, Colleen Mullin finished a pass from Hewitt to give the Royals a 2-1 edge.
- Allyson Flynn took a feed from Hewitt and scored just 1:14 into the second period to stretch the lead to two, and 1:24 later, Hewitt netted her second of the night to make it 4-1.
- The Greyhounds responded with four consecutive goals over the next eight minutes to regain the lead at 5-4. Kathryn Hunsinger scored at the 11:04 mark, Ella Steirer added a pair to tie the game at 4-4 shortly after, and Seiler struck again with 4:27 left in the half to put Moravian ahead by one.
- Hewitt completed the hat trick with 2:54 remaining in the period to knot the score at five, and the teams went into halftime even.
- The Royals scored the three times to open the third period and tallied six of the quarter's seven goals. Mullin scored twice in a 12-second span to put Scranton up by two, and after assisting on Mullin's second goal of the period, Hewitt recorded her 100th career goal and fourth of the game at the 8:57 mark as the Royals scored three times in 26 seconds to take an 8-5 lead.
- Seiler answered with 7:03 left in the third to bring Moravian within two, but Scranton closed the period with three consecutive goals from Grace DiDominica, Flynn, and Mullin to carry an 11-6 advantage into the fourth.
- Seiler struck again just nine seconds into the final quarter as the shot clock expired, trimming Moravian's deficit to four.
- DiDominica finished a feed from Hewitt for her second goal to make it 12-7 with 11:37 left in the game, though Moravian responded 1:21 later to pull within four at 12-8.
- Scranton sealed the win with two insurance goals late in the fourth, the first from DiDominica to complete her first career hat trick and the second from Alexandra Back, assisted by Natalie Paul, as the Royals secured a 14-8 victory over Moravian.

- Hewitt tallied eight points on four goals and four assists while adding eight draw controls. The junior became the second player in program history to surpass 200 career draw controls with her eight draws tonight, and she also scored her 100th career goal in the third period.
- Colleen Mullin scored a career-high four goals and added two ground balls.
- Grace DiDominica recorded her first career hat trick while recording five ground balls and one caused turnover.
- Jillian Lopez tallied four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and six draw controls. Like Hewitt, Lopez recorded her 200th career draw control in today's game, becoming the third player in program history to reach the milestone.
