The University of Scranton finished 54th in the final 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup Division III standings with 342.50 points, as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
Overall Standings
The Royals were the highest-ranked Landmark Conference institution in the final standings and the conference's lone representative among the top 100 Division III programs. Scranton was one of nine Landmark Conference schools to earn points in the Directors' Cup standings, which recognize broad-based athletic excellence based on performances in NCAA Championship competition throughout the academic year.
Scranton's strong finish was fueled by success across all three athletic seasons and included seven NCAA Tournament appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.
In the spring, the Royals advanced three teams to NCAA Tournament competition, as baseball, men's lacrosse, and women's lacrosse each earned postseason berths and won opening-round contests.
The Royals also turned in impressive performances at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Molly White earned Second Team All-America honors in the heptathlon, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 800-meter run with a program-record time of 2:13.65. Fellow Royal Sam Sharrow represented Scranton in the long jump and placed 19th nationally.
During the winter season, Scranton's women's basketball team made a historic run to the NCAA Division III Championship game. White added another milestone to her remarkable season by earning First Team All-America honors in the pentathlon, becoming just the second First Team All-American in program history for the Royals' track and field program.
The Royals also enjoyed a successful fall campaign, with field hockey, women's soccer, and men's soccer all qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. The men's soccer team earned its first NCAA Tournament victory since 2016 with an opening-round win in the national tournament.
The Learfield Directors' Cup is administered by NACDA and serves as the premier measure of overall collegiate athletic success. Institutions accumulate points based on their performances in NCAA Championships, rewarding excellence across a broad spectrum of sports.
