Senior Gisele Falzone of The University of Scranton women's tennis team has been selected as the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week. 

On Saturday, Falzone went 6-0 in her No. 1 singles match and a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles.  

Falzone led the Royals' assertive 6-1 win over Elizabethtown College in their Landmark Conference opener on Saturday at the Stauffer Courts. She teamed with Sarah Crawford to post a 6-0 win at No.1 doubles, then turned in a near perfect performance in singles by beating her opponent 6-0, 6-1 at the No.1 spot. 

Her performances helped set the tone for an impressive team effort in which Scranton won six out of seven matches.  

This marks the first Landmark Athlete of the Week honor of Falzone's collegiate career.
