The University of Scranton women's volleyball team dropped three sets to No. 3 Berry College Sunday afternoon at the John Long Center.

How It Happened
First Set
- The Vikings got out to a hot start, scoring the first three points of the match.
- The Royals found their rhythm after being down 13-6, when Freshmen Angela Bush and Natalie Kettler provided timely kills to bring the Royals within two of the Vikings.
- Berry regained momentum, scoring three straight points and taking the first set, 25-18.
Second Set
- The Royals and Vikings traded points for most of the second set, yet Scranton never held the lead.
- Sophomore Adria Vargas scored back-to-back points, one kill and one service ace, to bring the Royals within two, down 12-14.
- Then, the Freshman trio of Bush, Kettler, and Andie Fortmeyer scored three straight kills to once again close the deficit, putting the Royals in the position to tie the game at 19 apiece.
- Berry held on to win the set 25-21.
Third Set
- Reception errors proved costly to the Royals in the third set, as the Vikings jumped out to a 17-7 lead.
- Scranton capitalized on a service error of Berry's to ignite a four-point run.
- The run, however, was not enough, as Berry finished the game with a third-set win of 25-16.
