The University of Scranton women's volleyball team fell to No. 18 Ithaca College Sunday evening at the John Long Center.

How It Happened
First Set
- Down 6-1 early in the opening set, the Royals went on a 6-point run fueled by two kills from Freshman Natalie Kettler to take a 7-6 lead.
- Knotted at 13, Freshman Angela Bush delivered an electrifying kill to give the Royals the lead, 14-13.
- The Bombers struck back, outscoring the Royals 9-5 and taking the first set victory 25-20.
Second Set
- The Royals controlled the momentum at the start of the second, jumping out to an 11-4 lead. Sophomore Adria Vargas contributed 4 kills during the Royals run.
- Scranton attack errors allowed the Bombers to tighten the deficit
- Freshman Andie Fortmeyer found the gap off an assist from Senior Cammi Quirk as the Royals took a 20-16 lead.
- Service errors on both sides created a tie up at 26 apiece. Bush provided a kill to give the Royals the advantage, yet the Bombers scored back-to-back kills to win the second set 29-27.
Third Set
- Ithaca carried their momentum into the third set, jumping out to a 6-2 lead.
- Scranton stormed back, tying the game at 13 apiece, led by Freshman Kasia Burda who recorded three kills during the rally.
- Despite a strong defensive effort, the Royals dropped the third and final set to the Bombers, 24-21.
