Thornell enters his second season as an Assistant Coach for the Royals in 2025. 

The Summit, N.J., native is a 2021 graduate of The University of Scranton and was a four-year member of the men's soccer program. Thornell played in 50 games and made 47 starts during his career, notching a goal and two assists. Scranton tallied 27 victories and reached the Landmark Conference semifinals in 2019. 

Thornell earned his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology.
