MADISON, N.J. – Seniors Stephanie Boccuzzi (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) and Devon Cohen (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) rolled to victories at the top to singles spots and teamed for a win at No. 1 doubles to lead The University of Scranton women's tennis team to a 9-0 victory at Drew on Saturday afternoon.

Boccuzzi posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Sofia Madrigal at No. 1 singles, and Cohen followed her with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Deanna Williams at No. 2 singles. The pair then combined to roll past Madrigal and Williams at No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Behind Boccuzzi and Cohen, the Royals improved to 5-5 on the season and 2-0 in Landmark Conference play. 

Scranton also received two wins apiece from juniors Megan Azzalina (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame) and Nicole Mahaffey (Harrisburg, Pa./Trinity), and sophomore Emily Walsh (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Prep).

Azzalina posted a 6-0, 6-3 over Jessica Cheng at No. 3 singles, then teamed with freshman Emily Machado (Fishkill, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) for an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles. Walsh defeated Alex Scarborough, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4  singles, and Mahaffey earned a 6-3, 6-0 win over Kirby Clark at No. 5. They also teamed for an 8-1 win over Cheng and Clark at No. 2 doubles. 

The Royals also received a 6-2, 6-0 win from junior Lisa-Marie Lanciotti (Northport, N.Y./Kings Park) at No. 6 singles.

Scranton returns to action on Monday, March 31, when it travels to Elizabethtown, Pa. to take on Elizabethtown at 3:30 p.m.
