Senior Megan Azzalina (Easton, Pa./Notre Dame) became the University of Scranton women's tennis program's all-time leader in doubles victories as the Royals defeated Susquehanna, 8-1, on Wednesday afternoon at Royal Courts.

Azzalina teamed with fellow senior Nicole Mahaffey (Harrisburg, Pa./Trinity) for an 8-1 win at no. 2 doubles, giving Azzalina her 40th career doubles victory. She passes Danielle Schneider, who had 39 doubles victories from 1997-2000.

Mahaffey cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at no. 3 singles, while Azzalina finished right behind her with a 6-3, 6-0 win at no. 2, also earning her 40th singles win of her career. Machado partnered with fellow sophomore Courtney Barron (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown South) for an 8-3 win at no. 3 doubles, then posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory at no. 6 singles.
