BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Ryan Bair (Leola, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) and sophomore David Commender (Larchmont, N.Y./Iona Prep) posted singles victories, but The University of Scranton men's tennis team dropped a Landmark Conference road match at Moravian, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon.

Scranton (2-7, 1-4 Landmark) also received a doubles victory from the team of sophomores Matt Prendergast (Flanders, N.J./Mt. Olive) and Michael Pottieger (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing), who earned an 8-6 win at no. 2 doubles.

Bair posted a 6-0, 7-5 win at no. 5 singles, his fifth singles victory of the season and second in conference action. Commender continued his solid play by rolling to a 6-3, 6-3 win at no. 6 singles to improve to 5-1 in singles action this season, including 3-1 in conference play.

The Royals are back in action on Sunday when they visit Drew for a Landmark Conference match at 1 p.m.
