Elena Gallo (East Meadow, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) scored eight goals including the 100th of her career on Saturday to lead The University of Scranton to a 19-13 victory over Elizabethtown in Landmark Conference women's lacrosse action at Fitzpatrick Field.  Shannon Warburton (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) added a career-best five goals for the Royals, who improve to 7-6 (3-1 Landmark) on the season with the win.

Just two games after reaching the 100-point milestone, Gallo became just the 14th player in Royals' history to score at least 100 career goals.  The junior reached the milestone with a career-best eight goals which matched the third-best single game total in program history and the most since Emily Goss netted eight goals in a win at Goucher on March 28, 2015.

Scranton built a 5-2 lead over the first 15:39 of Saturday's contest before the Blue Jays (6-7, 2-2 Landmark) scored three straight goals to knot the score at 5-5.  Gallo's fourth goal of the game with 7:28 left in the first half put the Royals back in front, but Elizabethtown took a 7-6 edge into the intermission with the final two markers of the period.

The Blue Jays tallied three of the first four goals of the second half to hold a 10-7 lead with 25:23 left in regulation before Scranton rattled used a 5-1 burst to claim a 12-11 edge at the 18:50 mark.  After Elizabethtown tied the contest back up midway through the frame, the Royals reeled off six straight goals to take control of the contest, holding an 18-12 cushion with 5:48 remaining.  Both teams would add a goal apiece in the final 3:49 to close out the scoring.

Christine Olert (Katonah, N.Y./Somers) scored twice for Scranton in the win, Kate Calabro (Seaford, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) had a goal and three assists, and Jill Henson (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) added a goal and two helpers.

Kaitlyn Murphy (Somers, N.Y./North Salem) chipped in with a goal and an assist while Kailyn Angelo (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) also scored in the victory.

Lauren Devlin (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) earned the win in goal for Scranton, making seven saves in the final 35:59 of the contest while starter Erin Putnam (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) made one stop in the opening 24 minutes of the contest.

Angelo tied for a game-high with six draw controls, Calabro had a pair of caused turnovers, and Gabby Lins (Ocean Township, N.J./Ocean Township) picked up a team-high three ground balls on the day.

The Royals held a 31-26 advantage in shots for the game and a 17-11 edge in ground balls on the day.  The hosts also went 4-of-10 on free-position shots to a 3-of-7 showing from the eight-meter arc by the Blue Jays.

Elizabethtown claimed a 19-15 lead in draw controls for the contest while committing 17 turnovers to 12 for the Royals.

Scranton will host Drew on Wednesday in a Landmark Conference tilt at Fitzpatrick Field.  Opening draw between the Royals and Rangers is set for 4:00 p.m.
