Dinnocenzio Named Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Senior Scholar-Athlete

Mia Dinnocenzio of The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Senior Scholar-Athlete, the conference announced this afternoon.

Dinnocenzio is the third player from Scranton women's lacrosse to be recognized, joining Rebecca Russo (2020) and Bridget Gallaher (2016). She becomes the seventh Royal to earn this honor during this academic year.

The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.

Dinnocenzio served as a leader both on and off the field for Scranton women's lacrosse this season, helping the Royals capture their fourth consecutive Landmark Conference title and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year. The senior ranked fourth in the Landmark with 43 caused turnovers and added 43 ground balls, serving as a steady veteran presence on the defensive end. She anchored a unit that led the conference with an 8.40 goals-against average overall and an impressive 5.40 goals-against average in conference play. The senior earned All-Landmark Conference First Team honors and was also named to the IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region First Team following her standout 2026 campaign.

In the classroom, Dinnocenzio is an occupational therapy major with a 3.89 grade point average and has earned Dean's List honors every semester at Scranton. A team captain as a senior, she has also been deeply involved in leadership and community initiatives throughout her collegiate career. Dinnocenzio served as a Team IMPACT leader and as a Morgan's Message Ambassador, helping to promote mental health awareness and provide support for student-athletes within the athletic community.
