The University of Scranton went unbeaten in Landmark Conference women's tennis action this spring by winning its last seven matches of the regular season.  The Royals will look to keep that streak going on Tuesday afternoon as they host Elizabethtown in a Landmark Conference semifinal match starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Courts.

Scranton is the top seed in this year's postseason tournament after finishing the regular season with a 16-3 overall record including a perfect 7-0 in conference play.  The Royals are appearing in the Landmark Conference playoffs for 11th straight year since joining the conference and are seeking their first conference title since 2014 when Scranton close a three-year reign as the league champion.

Senior Julia Frattaroli (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) led five Royals with double-digit singles victories this season by going 16-7 overall.  Junior Emilia Jakubek (Honesdale, Pa./Scranton Prep) added 15 wins while sophomores Nastashia DeNunzio (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore) and Emily Kelly (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson), along with freshman Lindsay Roberto (Princeton, N.J./Notre Dame), have posted 12 singles wins to date this season.

DeNunzio and Jakubek both went 7-0 in Landmark Conference singles matches while Frattaroli and freshman Tatiana Klacko (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Prep) posted 6-1 marks in league play.

Frattaroli, Scranton's all-time leader in doubles victories, and Jakubek have both earned 16 wins apiece in doubles action while DeNunzio and Klacko have 14 victories each.  Jakubek and Klacko teamed up to post a perfect 7-0 record in Landmark Conference doubles matches this spring at the #2 flight.

Elizabethtown, the #4 seed, is making its first Landmark Conference playoff appearance after finishing the regular season with a 7-6 mark including a 4-3 record in conference matches.  After winning four matches in a row, the Blue Jays dropped three of their last four contests entering the postseason.

Juniors Amber Burd and Meghan Chemidlin have won nine singles matches apiece to lead Elizabethtown on the season.  Sophomores Sarah Donner and Lenea Riehl have eight singles wins apiece and all four players went 4-3 in conference singles matches.

Chemidlin and Riehl combined for a team-leading nine victories in doubles competition and were 5-2 in Landmark play at #1 doubles during the spring.

The Royals won the regular season meeting with Elizabethtown this spring, claiming an 8-1 victory on April 15 at the Wisehaven Tennis Center in York.  Frattaroli, DeNunzio, Jakubek, and Klacko won two matches apiece to lead Scranton while Kaitlyn O'Conner picked up the lone point for the Blue Jays with a win at #5 singles.

Second-seeded Moravian is hosting #3 seed Catholic in Tuesday's other semifinal matchup.

Tuesday's winners will meet on Saturday at the site of the highest remaining seed for the Landmark Conference Championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
