SELINSGROVE, Pa. - After falling behind, 2-1, after doubles, The University of Scranton men's tennis team won four matches in singles action to edge out Susquehanna, 5-4, in Landmark Conference action on Saturday. 

With the win, the Royals moved to 2-1 overall and in the Landmark, while Susquehanna dropped to 2-1 overall and in the Landmark.

To start, the host River Hawks captured doubles matches at number two and number three to go up by a point entering singles. Scranton, however, did get on the board for the day with an 8-1 victory in the top spot of doubles by the senior duo of Tarquin McGurrin (Clarks Summit, Pa./Scranton Prep) and James Harrington (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep).

Trailing entering singles, Harrington (6-1, 6-1) and McGurrin (6-0, 6-3) quickly won in the top two spots of singles action to give the Royals the lead back at 3-2. 

The Royals then finished off the victory with triumphs at both number three and number four singles. At number three, sophomore Nathan Tauber (Bethlehem, Pa./Nazareth Area) was a straight set winner, (6-3, 6-1) as was fellow sophomore Patrick O'Mara (Pleasantville, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) at number four (6-4, 6-1), with O'Mara's win clinching the Landmark Conference victory for Scranton. 

The University of Scranton men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday, as they host Drew at Royal Courts in Landmark action. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
