Men's Tennis Drops Landmark Conference Match at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team (3-11, 2-3 Landmark) dropped a 7-2 decision to the Susquehanna River Hawks (10-3, 5-1 Landmark) in Landmark Conference action on Thursday at Garrett Complex Tennis Courts in Selinsgrove.

The Royals currently sit a half game out of the fourth and final playoff spot with two Landmark regular season matches remaining.

Susquehanna led 2-1 after doubles play as the Royals' duo of junior Patrick O'Mara (Pleasantville, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) and senior James Harrington (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep) picked up an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Harrington rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over the River Hawks' Emil Vyskocil in No. 1 singles, while O'Mara dropped a 3-6, 7-5, 8-10 heartbreaker to Joshua Sanderson in No. 2 singles action.

Scranton is back in action on Saturday for a crucial Landmark match at Moravian with first serve in Bethlehem slated for 12 p.m.
