BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's tennis team (9-7, 3-3 Landmark) dropped a 9-0 decision to the Moravian Greyhounds (13-3, 5-2 Landmark) in Landmark Conference action on Saturday at Hoffman Tennis Courts in Bethlehem.
The Royals currently sit in the fourth and final playoff spot with one regular season match remaining.
Graduate student Marissa Campo (Green Lane, Pa./Christopher Dock) and senior Claire Loughlin (Binghamton, N.Y./Seton Catholic Central) battled, but dropped an 8-7 (7-5) decision to the Greyhounds' Julianne Cassidy and Morgan Colver in No. 1 doubles.
In No. 5 singles play, freshman Taralyn Reilly (Archbald, Pa./Valley View) fell in a three set heartbreaker to Moravian's Rose Lombardo, 3-6, 6-2, 0-1 (5-10).
The Royals wrap up the regular season on Sunday afternoon at Juniata with first serve slated for 12:30 p.m.
