ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team (1-6) dropped a 7-2 decision to the Hamline University Pipers (7-3) on Thursday night at the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando.
Scranton dropped all three doubles matches by an 8-4 score before notching a pair of victories in singles play.
Senior James Harrington (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep) cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Hamline's Sam Thompson In No. 1 singles and junior Jason Budrys (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park) notched a 6-3, 6-2 win over Sean Le in No. 4 singles for the Royals.
The Royals will take on Aquinas University on Friday afternoon at 12 p.m. to close out the team's Spring Break trip.
