Men's Tennis Drops 5-4 Heartbreaker to Moravian

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team (5-10, 3-3 Landmark) dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker to the Moravian Greyhounds (15-4, 4-2 Landmark) in Landmark Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Birchwood Racquet Club in Clarks Summit.

The Royals currently sit in the fourth and final playoff spot with one regular season match remaining.

Scranton held a 2-1 lead after doubles play as the senior duo of James Harrington (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep)/Patrick O'Mara (Pleasantville, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) picked up an 8-4 win in No. 1 doubles play and junior Jason Budrys (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park)/sophomore John Sinclair (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) notched an 8-6 victory at the third doubles flight.

Harrington then cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Shayaan Farhad in No. 1 singles and Budrys added a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Zachary Lebby in No. 4 singles.

The Royals hit the road to battle Catholic tomorrow afternoon with first serve in Washington, D.C. set for 1 p.m.
