SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's tennis team (8-8, 4-3 Landmark) dropped a 9-0 decision to the Drew Rangers (14-2, 7-0 Landmark) to conclude the regular season on Wednesday afternoon at the Royal Courts in Scranton.
In doubles play, the No. 1 duo of senior Lily Nowak (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area)/sophomore Daniella Wisniewski (Bedminster, N.J./Bernards) dropped a tough 8-6 decision and the No. 3 duo of junior Lydia Grossman (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale)/sophomore Julia Nocentino (Mantua, N.J./Kingsway Regional) battled but ultimately fell 8-5.
At the fourth singles flight, freshman Olivia Sirico (Westtown, N.Y./Minisink Valley) fell to Drew's Sanne Bloemendaal in a hard fought 6-4, 6-3 setback.
