TOWSON, Md. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team (4-8, 2-1 Landmark) fell to the Goucher Gophers (3-7, 2-0 Landmark) by a score of 8-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Schroedl Tennis Center in Towson.
The Royals trailed 2-1 after doubles despite an 8-6 victory from the duo of junior Jason Budrys (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park) and sophomore John Sinclair (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Budrys battled Tadeo Asprella at No. 4 singles before falling 6-2, 7-6 (7-5).
Scranton returns to the court on Monday, Apr. 10 at Elizabethtown with first serve slated for 3 p.m.
