SCRANTON, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's tennis team (0-1) dropped a 7-2 decision to the Bryn Mawr College Owls (2-0) in the team's fall opener on Saturday at the Royal Courts.

Junior Daniella Wisniewski (Bedminster, N.J./Bernards) and freshman Gisele Falzone (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Scranton Prep) notched an 8-3 victory at the first doubles flight for the Royals, but Bryn Mawr recorded victories in the other two matches to take an early 2-1 lead.

Wisniewski dropped a 6-4, 7-6 heartbreaker to Sophie Fenster in No. 1 singles and fellow junior Taralyn Reilly (Archbald, Pa./Valley View) notched a 7-6, 6-3 victory over the Owls' Gioanna Zhao in No. 6 singles for Scranton.

The Royals are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 23 versus East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m.
