Box Score HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's tennis team (9-7, 7-2 Landmark) won all three doubles matches and picked up a 7-2 victory over the Juniata Eagles (4-10, 2-7 Landmark) in conference action on Friday at Raffensberger Tennis Courts in Huntingdon.
The No. 1 duo of graduate student Lily Nowak (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area)/freshman Gisele Falzone (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Scranton Prep) notched an 8-3 victory, while junior Daniella Wisniewski (Bedminster, N.J./Bernards)/freshman Kyleigh McNulty (Bay Shore, N.Y./St. Anthony's) added an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. In third doubles play, junior Julia Nocentino (Mantua, N.J./Kingsway Regional) and senior Lydia Grossman (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) recorded an 8-2 victory.
Falzone registered a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Juniata's Maggie Ackley at No. 3 singles and junior Taralyn Reilly (Archbald, Pa./Valley View) notched a 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 win against Charley Madlock at No. 4 singles.
Sophomore Paige Hunt (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Marilyn Ogof in No. 5 singles and senior Maddy Abood (Plainfield, N.J./Union Catholic) posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory of her own at sixth singles.
The Royals will close out the regular season on Sunday afternoon at East Stroudsburg with first serve set for 12 p.m.
