Box Score CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Graduate student Lily Nowak (Freeland, Pa./Hazleton Area) broke the program's and Landmark Conference career doubles wins record and The No. 3 seed University of Scranton women's tennis team (11-7) rolled to a 5-0 victory over the No. 6 seed Wilkes Colonels (4-10) in Landmark quarterfinal action on Tuesday afternoon at Birchwood Racquet Club in Clarks Summit.
With the victory, the Royals advance to Thursday's semifinals at Moravian with first serve slated for 4 p.m.
Nowak notched the 54th doubles win of her career, which surpasses the previous record of 53 that was shared by Julia Frattaroli (2014-18) and Emilia Jakubek (2015-19). At the first doubles flight, Nowak and freshman Gisele Falzone (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Scranton Prep) posted a thrilling 8-6 win over the Colonels' Zoe Klein/Tea Amerise.
Freshman Kyleigh McNulty (Bay Shore, N.Y./St. Anthony's)/junior Daniella Wisniewski (Bedminster, N.J./Bernards) added an 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles and junior Julia Nocentino (Mantua, N.J./Kingsway Regional)/senior Lydia Grossman (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) recorded an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Falzone rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Kaitlyn O'Neil at third singles and junior Taralyn Reilly (Archbald, Pa./Valley View) posted a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Karlee Yuscavage.
