University of Scranton senior Kaci Kranson has been named a Preseason First Team All-American by D3hoops.com ahead of the 2025-26 women's basketball season, the organization announced earlier today.
Kranson enters her senior campaign as one of the nation's premier players after leading the Lady Royals to another NCAA Tournament run in 2024-25. A three-time First Team All-Landmark Conference selection and last season's Landmark Player of the Year, she has already built one of the most decorated careers in program history.
Kranson averaged 17.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season while shooting 47 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc. She ranked among the Landmark leaders in nearly every offensive category—tying for first in both total points and points per game, while also finishing fourth in free throw percentage and seventh in field goal percentage.
Kranson was a consistent scoring threat throughout her junior campaign, recording double figures in 28 of 31 games. Some of her standout performances included 31 points and nine rebounds in a January win over Susquehanna, 26 points and 13 boards in an NCAA Tournament victory over Bates, and 25 points in the Elite Eight against Wisconsin-Stout.
A native of Scranton and graduate of Holy Cross High School, Kranson has been a key part of Scranton's sustained national success since arriving on campus. She's a three-time All-American and was previously named the D3hoops.com Region V Player of the Year (2025) and Rookie of the Year (2023).
Off the court, Kranson also excels academically as a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American and member of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Kranson and the Lady Royals will look to build on last season's NCAA Elite Eight appearance when they open the 2025-26 campaign in November.
