Shaw of Field Hockey Earns NFHCA All-American Honors

Scranton, Pa. – The University of Scranton field hockey team added one more national honor after its historic 2025 season as senior forward Annie Shaw was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) All-American third team as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.

This marks the first All-American selection of Shaw's career and is the fifth straight season in which a Royal has earned the honors following Allie Benadon in 2021 and Katie Redding from 2022-24. Shaw becomes just the fourth different player in program history to earn the distinction.

The Exton, Pa., native earned All-Region V First Team and All-Landmark Conference First Team honors and was named the Landmark Conference Tournament MVP following a career year in her senior season.

Shaw becomes the latest Royal to earn All-American recognition after helping lead the Landmark Conference's top offense. The senior forward posted career highs with 42 points and 19 goals, while adding four assists and five game-winning goals in 2025. Her 19 goals were tied for fourth most in a single season in program history, and she ranked second in the conference in both goals and points on the season, guiding Scranton to its first Landmark Conference title since 2021.

Shaw not only caps off her career with an All-American nod, but also finishes eighth in program history in career points and ninth in career goals after just three seasons at Scranton.
